Levi Smith

It’s easy to remember a moment in one’s life when everything changed--a spark that burst unexpectedly--a sudden life-altering right-hand turn. For Levi Smith, that change occurred as a teenager during a Sunday night music service at the church he was born into--Shady Grove Church. Since that time, Smith has focused on writing songs and serving as a worship leader, and, eventually, worship pastor at Shady Grove.

Feeling led to take his music outside the walls of the church, Smith formed Radiant, an indie rock band that has performed in four continents and has toured the US several times over, including a 2006 performance on Jimmy Kimmel Live. But even during his time on the road, his desire for God’s presence through music subsisted, and he continued writing worship songs.

In 2007, Smith released Convicting Blood, a collection of explosive yet intimate worship songs he had written over the years. And in 2010, he started Relic Federation Records, and with it, a fully functional recording studio, at which he produces and engineers his own music, as well as the music of other artists who have a heart for God’s presence.

Levi Smith lives in Grand Prairie, Texas with his wife Candiss and newborn son Cash Robert.
