Stevan Parra

Inspired by the passionate worship culture of his home church, Shady Grove, its leaders, and the worship music coming out of the United Kingdom, Stevan Parra first picked up the calling to lead worship as a teenager. But it wasn't until 2008 while at a discipleship training school in Cyprus that he felt called to write and record his own songs.

"Ever since I first started leading worship, I've always felt a desire to write songs that would bless the church," says Parra, now 26. "And I've always wanted them to be Spirit-led. That they come from my own personal worship experiences. I really feel like these songs reflect that."

The new record, "You Stand Alone," inspired heavily by the music of Tim Hughes and Levi Smith, was released in September on the Relic Federation record label.

Stevan is currently serving as the interim worship pastor of Restoration Church in Euless, Texas, as well as the worship director of All Nations House of Prayer in Grand Prairie, Texas.
